Kymberly Benjamin
Patient Guide
Originally from St. Simons Island, Kymberly Benjamin has lived in Georgia most of her life. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Development with an emphasis in Psychology from Georgia Southern University in 2002. Kymberly spent the last 9 years helping many children and their families during stressful times. She says the highlight of her career thus far is making someone smile, just for a moment, to help distract them from what they might be going through. Kymberly came to SGCCC in September of 2011 to fulfill her passion for serving others. As the Patient Guide, Kymberly serves on the cancer care team as a proactive patient representative. She works with patients to identify their barriers to receiving care and connects them to the resources they may need such as counseling, transportation and financial assistance. Kymberly works congruently with members of the cancer care team as well as with community social services, support groups and other complementary programs. She looks forward to seeing our patients and their families and being able to visit with them daily. In her free time, Kymberly enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and being involved at her church.
